The Grandville Bulldogs opened 2019 OK-Red League play by taking both ends of a double header from visiting Caledonia by the scores of 9-6 and 4-1. Sam Slager threw a complete game in the opening contest striking out 5 while allowing just 1 walk. Taylor Buiter went 3-4 and Courtney Hardin and Maddi Gkekas added 2 hits apiece to pace the offense.
The Dawgs got another excellent outing in the circle in Game 2 as Lexi Dukesherer went the distance allowing the Scots just 4 hits and an unearned run. Taylor Buiter had another good game at the plate with two more hits including a double. Lexi Dukesherer added two hits and Sam Slager had a double for the Bulldogs.
