The Grandville Varsity Softball team took both ends of a double header at home vs West Ottawa Tuesday afternoon. Game 1 saw the Dawgs tally 14 hits led by Taylor Buiter's 2 homeruns in the 4-inning 16-1 victory. Maddi Ungrey had 3 singles and Lexi Dukesherer, Maggie Bentley and Kyleigh Moll had 2 apiece. Sam Slager hit her 2nd homerun of the year in the 2nd inning.
Game 2 was also a mercy rule shortened 6 inning contest with the Dawgs winning 11-1. Lexi Dukesherer allowed just 1 hit over 4 innings to earn the win. Taylor Buiter again led the Grandville offense with 2 doubles. Maddi Ungrey had a double and a single and Maggie Bentley added 2 singles to pace the offense.
