The Grandville Varsity Softball Team traveled to Hudsonville Wednesday afternoon with a chance to share the OK-Red Conference title and did just that by defeating the rival Eagles, 5-1.  This marks the 4th OK-Red Conference title in the last 7 years for the Bulldogs.

Sam Slager was great in the circle striking out 4, allowing no walks and limiting the Eagles to just 1 earned run on the evening.  Offensively, the Bulldogs backed Slager with Maggie Bentley's 2-out double in the 3rd to chase home Emily Fontaine with the games first run.  Sam Slager helped herself with a squeeze bunt to score Kyleigh Moll in the 5th to give the Dawgs a 2-0 cushion. Lexi Dukesherer and Taylor Buiter hit back to back home runs in the 6th to give Grandville a 4-0 lead.  After Hudsonville pushed a run across in the bottom of the frame, the Dawgs tacked on another run with a bases loaded walk from Buiter for the final 5-1 spread and give the Grandville Bulldogs a share of the conference title.
