The Grandville girls cross country team raced at Caledonia on Tuesday for their first OK Red Jamboree meet of the season. Seniors Madison Malon, Jenna Brewer, and Grace Hoekema were the first three for the team, with sophomore Maddy Wolf and freshman Emily Gray very close behind.
Sophia Hopkins led the way for the JV runners with another personal best time by over 20 seconds, followed by Alex Webster, Grace Kaminski, Tori Francis, and Halle Oczepek.
Ashlyn Luke ran her season best time by nearly a minute. Grace Blauwiekel and Kaylee Scott also finished with season best times, and Mila Kosalla competed in her first cross country 5k.
The ladies are preparing to race again at this Saturday’s Cougar-Falcon Invitational held at the Gainey Athletic Complex.
