The Grandville girls cross country team had many great performances at the Cougar-Falcon Invitational this Saturday. Senior Jenna Brewer led the varsity team, followed very closely by the Maddy Wolf, Grace Hoekema, Lindsay Keranen, and Emily Gray. The JV race also showed outstanding performances led by Alex Webster, Halle Oczepek, Grace Kaminski, Tori Francis, and Courtney Gregorski.

There were many personal records achieved at this meet. Maddy Wolf (21:18), Emily Gray (21:48), Rose Meyer (23:01), Sophia Hopkins (23: 13), Natalie Lehman (25:25), Lucia Alberini (26:51), Jennifer Tran (27:06), Sydney Spicuzza (28:12), and Lacey McGillicuddy (30:03) all ran personal bests.

Meanwhile, Jenna Brewer (21:15), Grace Hoekema (21:28), Hailey Kempf (23:01), Alex Webster (23:53), Halle Oczepek (24:12), Grace Kaminski (24:29), Alexis DeMaar (26:37), Grace Blauwiekel (28:20), Dhakiya Weir (29:55) finished with season best times. And to complete a great day of racing, Grace Fitzgerald (25:47) competed with a strong solo effort in the freshman race to represent Grandville.

The girls look forward to competing again at the Otsego Invitational Saturday September 29.
